Be Thirsty!

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:37-38 NKJV

The Holy Spirit is here and present right now. Jesus has promised Him to those who believe. The reason you haven’t received the baptism is not because it is not available to you but because you dont really want it- you’re not really that thirsty.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled!” What are you thirsty for? Are you thirsty for God? Be thirsty! Ask Him to make you most thirsty for Him and nothing else. Ask Him to free you from all of the other things your soul has a taste for. Ask Him to starve your flesh to death and make your spirit fat and stuffed and overflowing with the Holy Spirit!

Where’s your persistence? Where’s your hunger? Know that not only do you need bread but so does your loved ones!

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?  Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
Luke 11:9-13

Be thirsty! Be hungry! Be filled! What are you waiting for?
